Sterling Distillers Pvt. Ltd. is an upcoming 150 KLPD Dedicated Ethanol plant coming up at Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal, India.
It has signed a long term offtake agreement with the Oil Marketing Companies for supply of Ethanol.
Investment of INR 200 Crores is envisaged in the first phase. The project is the part of Ethanol Blend- ed Petrol Programme(EBP) which is an initiative by the Government of India (Gol) under the National Policy on Biofuels. It was launched in the year 2003.
